A Perfect Mix!

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us.."

These are lines from a very famous book by Charles Dickens. He describes the very same period of time in two completely opposite ways. And what he wrote more than 150 years ago also holds true for the past three years of my life. An era that is soon going to end and I still feel as if it all started a few moments ago.These three years flew by without me hardly noticing it.

Happiness and merriment were synonymous with the freshman and sophomore years, but as time progressed, clashes and egos also crept into our friendship, testing times I would call them. In spite of everything, we survived the harder times to be together at the good times. Some of these memories, good and bad, will remain forever etched in my heart. In the span of these three years, I made more than a dozen good friends, and a best friend I would treasure for life.(You know who you are! :) ) Also, I developed into a mature and a responsible adult.(Well, at least I think so! :P)

Just a few months more and a new chapter begins in my life; a chapter with which responsibilities and duties come hand in hand. I'm a little scared, a little excited, a little worried and a little nervous about what the future has in store for me. But whatever it is, I am ready to embrace it with open arms and embark upon a new journey, untried and untested by me.

I wish every single person reading this the very best in life, but a very teeny-tiny amount of bad times too, or how would you know to appreciate good times when they come, and understand the beauty of life?
